Trevor Johnson

Founder & CEO

Trevor founded Cyber Misfits to bring a fresh, client-focused approach to IT and cybersecurity. Inspired by his 1990s upbringing—filled with dial-up modems, CRT monitors, and classic gaming—his retro 8-bit style reflects that era's raw creativity and digital possibility.

With 15+ years of experience, he began in law enforcement technology at the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), supporting critical systems including ODIS, AFIS, and CCH. As IT Director for the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma, he built their IT department from the ground up, delivering secure networks, Office 365 migrations, and compliance solutions while respecting tribal sovereignty. Later at the State of Oklahoma's OMES, he led 40+ technicians, managed $5M+ budgets, and transitioned statewide IT services to an in-house model. Trevor is passionate about innovative, reliable technology that empowers clients. When not leading the team, he enjoys exploring Oklahoma's outdoors and staying ahead of the latest cybersecurity trends.
